How to Manage Your Earnings and Expenses with a Simple Spreadsheet Calendar
In today's fast-paced world, managing your finances can be challenging, especially if you have inconsistent income or are short on cash. That's why I created this spreadsheet calendar to help you record your earnings and expenses and automatically calculate your daily balance.
Getting Started
To begin, you'll need to record your starting balance on the first of each month. This could be your available cash or the balance in your checking account.
Please note that your data is secure and private; no one can access it unless you share your computer or spreadsheet.
Recording Transactions
Throughout the month, you'll see your balance remains the same until you enter a new transaction. Each transaction will update the balance automatically.
Here's how it works:
Spending: Record your spending with a minus sign before the transaction amount. These entries will appear in red.
Earnings or Deposits: Record your earnings or deposits without a minus sign. These entries will appear in green.
Benefits of the Spreadsheet
This tool is designed to help you plan ahead by moving bills or postponing spending until you deposit more money. It's especially useful for:
